Joel hurried toward Scott’s apartment, worried about Scott’s last garbled, nonsensical message. Something about clowns. Joel tentatively tried the doorknob and was surprised when he found it unlocked. He peered inside the darkened room and found Scott bound and mostly gagged on the floor as a lush, nearly naked dark-haired seductress forced her hand down his shirt. Joel quickly noticed that her face was painted like a clown, but just her face, and nothing else.
