"This isn't love," the younger man stated, finally understanding his hurt and anxiety.
"What do you mean," the older man said calmly, but curious.
"This isn't a sacrifice I'm making for love. It was emotional duress. I didn't want to do this, I was afraid that if I didn't she'd leave me," the younger man said with tears on his cheeks.
"We didn't know," the older man softly said.
"You should have," the younger said with quiet anger. "You've been doing this a long time."
"What are you going to do now?" the older man asked.
"I'm going home. Alone."
