Minerva turned to Charlie and glared. “You can’t be serious,” She spat. “I had no intention of ever living up to that bet.”
“Then you shouldn’t have made it in the first place,” Charlie said through his clenched teeth. “Matt is insisting.”
“But it was just a stupid bet!” Minerva shrieked.
“You would have demanded that he pay up if he lost, right?” Charlie said.
“But that’s him and this is us,” she insisted.
“Yes,” Charlie agreed. “And if it’s a girl,” Charlie said while staring at Minerva’s pregnant belly, “we’ll have to name her, Ginger. Matt likes that name.”
