Matt perched at the edge of the precipice and shouted, “Charlie, we have to jump! I can hear them and they’re getting closer!”
Charlie inched closer and looked down at the water, far, far below. “Not jumping,” he said. “I don’t care if they do eat livers.”
Matt glanced behind them, “Your liver, heart, and eyes, while you’re still alive, that’s how they’ll do it.”
“Don’t care, not jumping,” Charlie stated.
“Charlie, is that your hat down there in the water,” Matt asked as he looked over the edge.
“Where?” Charlie asked and looked over.
Matt shoved him and leaped.
