Drabble Challenge #67

Prompt: cold

“You don’t have to be so cold.”

“I’m not cold. I’m realistic.”

“When this started, you told me that it would be a safe thing; that I wouldn’t get hurt.”

“My intention is not to hurt you, but we simply have to end things at some point.”

“I’m not ready for that point yet.”

“I know you aren’t, but my wife suspects something.”

“Leave her then. Walk away from the mundane and come enjoy life with me.”

“You’d grow just as indifferent and unhappy with me as you are with your husband.”

“You are just cold.”

“I am just honest.”
