Prompt: denial

Waving the cell phone bill, she screamed, “You’ve been cheating on me!”

“Have not! What makes you think that?” he asked.

“All these calls to the same strange number,” she said.

He chuckled. “That’s the support line for our new computer. Try it yourself.”

She picked up her phone and dialed. “You have reached Customer Support. All our agents are…”

Red-faced, she hung up the phone. “I shouldn’t have doubted you. Will you forgive me?”

“Of course,” he replied, and she left the room.

He picked up his cell phone and dialed. “It worked! No, she doesn’t suspect a thing...”
