Travel Tantrum

“It’s a tiny needle. You won’t even see a drop of blood.”

“But it’s still going to hurt!”

“You have to get this shot or you can’t go on the trip.”

“Then I won’t go.”

“Look, either we all go or nobody goes. And we’re ALL going!”

“I WON’T GO! I WON’T –“ and suddenly he slumps over.

“Nice work, doc,” says his father.

“Pretty stubborn for a 10-year-old,” the doctor quips. “I hope he settles down.”

“Not likely,” the father replies. “He’s going to be a real bear when he wakes up 100 years from now in another star system.”
