Kristy Evans' Bio

I am 34 years old. I am the mother of a wonderful and gifted 16 year old girl, Taylor. I have raised her myself for the better part of her life. I recently married my best friend, David, on October 25, 2014. I have been writing since I was 13 years old. I started writing to help me cope with different loses in my life. I come from a broken home, I was 16 when my parents separated, and my mother has had various mental conditions that include: multiple personality disorder, depression, bi-polar with narcissistic qualities, suicidal, and more. I am a survivor of domestic abuse, both physical and emotional. I have had two poems published in the National Library of Poetry, one in 1996 (i believe) and the other in 2013. Writing is my outlet. It helps me really vent and my hope is that one day I can help the lives of others who live in similar situations as I did. I recently have been diagnosed with severe Fibromyalgia with Vasovagal Syncope. I have lost the ability to work and have had to adjust to many different lifestyle changes. I started a blog this month that focuses on Narcissistic parents with mental disorders, domestic violence, photography and poetry. The name of the blog is The Unexpected Journey Within.
