Blind Faith

A faint female voice called out. “This way! Quickly!”

“Who said that?”

“It’s her! Let’s go!”

“Her who? Go where?””

A corpse extended a moldy arm dripping blood. “I’d guess somewhere away from our friend here.”

“But what if –“

The voice sounded more urgent. “Please! This way!”

“Come on!”

“Are you sure about this?”

“Do you have any better ideas?”

“Not really.”

The two old friends ran down a dark passage toward a dim light. Reaching it, the voice spoke again.

“Pull the lever.”

They looked around. “Here it is.”

With a loud thud, two huge iron doors slammed shut.
