"It's probably a virus!"
The technician set down her toolkit and examined the blank screen for a moment, then pressed the power button. When nothing happened, she said, "Maybe it's not plugged in."
"I'm not an idiot! Besides, I was typing my report when it just quit!"
"Okay," the technician said calmly, "I just meant that maybe it came unplugged."
"Oh... Can a virus do that?"
"Not really, no." The technician looked behind the computer and raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure it quit working while you were using it?"
"That's what I said! Why?"
"Your power cord is missing."
