Drabble Challenge #18

Prompt: what if...?
God: “So, now that you’re with me, do you have any questions? Everyone does.”
Human: “What was it all for? Why allow it? All that suffering, illness, death?”
God: “Those are unavoidable side effects. Life and death are inconsequential. You’ve been to a training ground -- practicing, experiencing just a taste of the containment within yourself of my Divine power.”
Human: “I don’t understand.”
God: “Many beings made in my image perished before I learned to withhold the full force of it, before their souls had matured enough to bear receipt of it.”
Human: “I’m confused. Bear what?”
God: “My Love.”
