Leaving Her

This came in a way that I never imagined - leaving her, that is. Where do I go from here? We made a promise to one another that we would stick through it. I thought that meant the unemployment thing...the bills...the mortgage. I never anticipated this. Who does? I guess its a little surreal for me...signing this paper...stuffing this envelope...collecting this money. We laughed about it once, said that if it ever came down to it the one would take the other on a vacation...spread the ashes...say goodbye...pay the bills. Screw the bills.
