Standing at the bank, holding the key that had been hidden inside his mother's locket, his hands shook with greed as he opened her secret safe-deposit box.

Let the rest of them squabble over her house and trinkets. All he'd wanted was the locket. They'd planned to bury it with her, but since it would mean one less way to split everything, his siblings quickly agreed.

Looking inside, his face fell -- it was stuffed with nothing but photos, report cards and children's drawings.

"Crazy old woman," he grumbled, as he swept all of her most prized possessions into the trash.
