On one side, the woman of his dreams – on the other, his duty to family and country.

Which will he choose?

She is not of nobility, and the king disapproves. His mother is more understanding.

“Follow your heart,” she tells her son, “and it will lead you to the answer you seek.”

After many weeks of uncertainty, the day of decision finally arrives. The young prince enters the throne room dressed in commoner’s clothes.

Visibly outraged, the king bellows, “Why have you chosen her over your birthright?”

The prince calmly replies, “If I hadn’t, I would have never forgiven myself.”
