Drabble Challenge #49 [Alternate]

Prompt: pause
I breathe, and with another breath, I breathe.
One more day rushes from sun-up to sun-down, and I breathe.
The young repeat the same generational mistakes of my grand-parents, but claim it’s not the same, and I breathe.
Air comes in and then it leaves, and I breathe.
My wisdom is ignored by those who need it most, and I breathe.
My own wisdom forces me to watch as my loved ones have their wisdom etched into their bones with the harsh stylus of their own regrets, and I breathe.
The breath draws deep as I sigh, and I breathe.
