Drabble Challenge #5 [Alternate]

Prompt: passages

It’s like I’m looking through a keyhole and I see another of my selves - distant, disconnected. The scene brings to me a sense of the surreal. I’m the actor and the acted, all in one disjointed bit of confusion. Searching my brain, I find that neural track that will pull me through, reattaching me to my Self and the memories held on the other side of the door.

There it is!

Slowly, the voices become louder, faces grow clearer, colors are more vibrant -- and like the swirling stuff that science fiction is made of, I am pulled through… and connect.
