Drabble Challenge #53

Prompt: through the looking glass

It aped his every move, but Jason knew the eyes were the difference. They watched him and waited with hidden knowledge and the knowledge they held was malicious and hateful. Jason stood and shivered as he watched his reflection in the bathroom mirror. Always, it was just a millisecond slower than him and the gaze it returned was ... hungry. As a child, his mother would have comforted him, but that was before, now she couldn’t be trusted. It knew why and it smiled at him, always smiling and waiting. Afraid and trembling, Jason raised his hand toward the mirror.
