Drabble Challenge #67

Prompt: cold

“That’s a required field,” the man had said.

Ticking a box claiming that he’d read things he hadn’t was easy. Having read the disclaimer regarding a .9% chance he’d retain brain function after cryogenic freezing would have altered nothing. After all, everything in life was a risk - and he’d never shied away from risk.

Any chance becomes 100% if it happens to YOU. If he could go back! If only…. Oh, the agony of a body’s cells in the suspended surrender meant to last but a second, the throes of a thwarted death, frozen, literally, and so very, very COLD!
