Drabble Challenge #69

Prompt: remember/remembrance

Memory is a tricky thing. We often remember the past as "good old days," forgetting its struggles and sorrows, focusing only on love and laughter.

This can give great comfort, but is dangerous also…

If Past was all sunshine and rainbows, but Today is stormy and bleak, why not go back THERE? Take our minds back to that safe place where we were happy?

But we weren’t any happier. Not really. The past was just like the present, filled with all the goods and bads, highs and lows, joys and sorrows that make up LIFE.

And we need them ALL.
