Drabble Challenge #77

Prompt: recovery

I tuck my car against one wall of the narrow, deserted canyon, and step out into the silence.

A small nook, carved by a long-forgotten river, invites me inside. I release the reins, extending myself...no, not the body, but only the Real Me--into the carved stone, and cast kinesthetic roots deep into the earth. The silence is deafening. Pulsing with an energy not my own, I listen for the 7.83 hertz I so desperately crave. Success: I'm connected. Every hurt, every fear flows smoothly back to the source...chased and replaced by a river of light.

Once again, I am ready.
