Number One Suspect

“…then we left together and Rhonda got her feelings hurt -- but it’s not like we were in a relationship or anything. I reminded her how she said she didn’t want a girlfriend, how she and I aren’t committed. We can both do whatever, or whoever, we like. She doesn’t admit that there’s anything REAL between us.

“I told her, I don’t even WANT a relationship!”

My visitor laughs out loud. “Oh, yes you do!”

“What do you mean?”

“You DO want a relationship.”

My brain almost implodes with confusion, considering her statement.
