“Have you signed it yet?”
“No, I wanted to read through it first.”
The beating on the door was getting louder and more determined.
“We can’t keep them out much longer. Will you please hurry up and sign it?”
“But –“
A panel on the door broke away and a blood-covered arm started reaching through.
“JUST SIGN IT!”
“Okay, okay, I’ll sign it.”
With a few strokes of the pen it was done. The beating stopped, the arm pulled back, and all was silent again.
