Drabble Challenge #89

Prompt: old

The old woman sits in her chair, waiting for her visitors to come.

Soon they arrive, with hellos, smiles and hugs all around. The adults sit and talk about this and that, and remember who and when, while the children scamper and play all around them. She offers cookies and other treats, made with the love of many years past.

Soon it is time for them to leave. After more hugs and “see you again soon, Grandma” they are gone and the house becomes quiet once more.

The old woman sits in her chair, waiting for her visitors to come.
