Drabble Challenge #90

Prompt: shangri-la
I’m surrounded by beauty that knows no end.
I drink water than is as pure as if delivered from the cupped hands of the gods themselves.
The food that reaches my lips stimulates my palate with pleasures as intense as any love-making ever could.
Delicate flowers perfume my every breath, and offer a menagerie, coloring my world.
My body remains young and spry, without disease or pain.
The face that confronts me in the mirror shows no mar with this languorous passing of time.
There is no reason, I am told, for suffering.
It all means nothing.
Not without her.
