One Mind, Slightly Damaged

I am trapped in here, paralysed by my fears.

I can't go outside, or I will fall into the sky -- an impossible, absurd notion of course, but that doesn't change the feeling of utter certainty that if I step through that door, gravity will lose its hold on me.

I don't have visitors, because I can't bear the sight of the monstrously distorted faces of my family and friends.

I know that none of it's real, but knowing doesn't help.

So instead, I just sit here alone in the dark, with only the cruel, whispering voices to keep me company.
