"You're late!" she accused, as the man appeared in front of her.
"I'm not," he insisted, "I said I'd be back before I left, and there I am." He waved at his other self, who stopped fiddling with some complex equipment long enough to wave back.
"You said you'd be back before the first time you left, and the first you has already gone!"
"Oh? Must need recalibrating then."
"That's all I'm saying."
He looked around and then frowned at his chronometer, "Where the heck am I?"
"Needs recalibrating, see?"
Another him suddenly appeared and waved.
"You're late!" everyone chorused.
