Drabble Challenge #4 [Alternate]

Prompt: out of time

He had never been much of a dancer. Always a flower on the wall, a paper cut-out of a man practicing extreme machinations and contortions of form and timing that sent others into gales of excluding laughter.

Today, however, was his day. Apparently, all of science had been wrong about mathematical calculations and musical timing being universal. Disallowing the possibility that dimensions with other Universal laws might be able to visit ours proved a gross error.

As the arriving aliens sang out their greeting and danced their dance of happiness - one man joined in and, at last, kept the beat.
