Prompt: secrets

Finally, the body was buried in the basement and he trudged up the stairs toward the bathroom to wash the soil and dust off his hands and arms and face. He saw her reflection in the mirror as she carried clean towels to the bathroom. Sarah hip bumped him as she stowed the towels on their shelf. she sidled up behind him and wrapped her arms around her husband and softly whispered in his ear, "You seem so distant lately, honey. Is there something bothering you?" "Not now, honey," he said as he smiled at her reflection in the mirror.
