“She doesn’t even know I’m alive,” Charlie whispered to Matt as they climbed the outside of the sorority house.
“Which is why we’re doing this,” Matt hissed as he searched for another precarious handhold. “You’ve got to do something to grab her attention.”
“Climbing in her window and serenading her is trouble,” Charlie warned swatting at a bee as they climbed over the railing into her room.
They found Susan draped across the bed, unresponsive. Matt picked up a used epi-pen as she opened her eyes. She saw Matt and said, “You saved me.”
“That was luck,” Charlie complained incredulously.
