Young Jehovah brought his new toy to the Gods for their inspection.
“What is it?” Zeus asked as the thing’s gears and wheels spun and whirred.
“Is it a new kind of animal?” The Dagda inquired as the thing hummed and whistled.
“No, it’s a weapon,” Odin declared as he sucked his finger where the thing had cut him.
“You’re all wrong,” Jehovah said. “It’s a machine.”
“What does is do?” Anu asked.
“It does the work of men and animals,” Jehovah declared. “It has no soul, so it can’t be harmed.”
“It means the death of Pan,” Moira said.
