I browse through photographs from family vacations of my childhood: Niagara Falls, Yellowstone, Disney World. Many of these captured images are now distorted due to age, cheap film or developing, even inept photography.
In my memory though, these scenes remain in sharp focus, although some are nearly fifty years past: three-year-old amazement seeing the raging water from my daddy’s arms, pre-teen inquisitiveness contemplating the power of geothermal energy, teenage exhilaration riding Space Mountain, my first BIG roller coaster.
I’m grateful my parents kept this photographic record of our family adventures and that they have provided me such memories to revisit.
