The salt shaker was turned onto its side. The lid was off the antique butter dish, and there appeared to be a feline nose print in the nearly-new stick of butter.
"What do you think you’re DOING?" he asked in frustration as the cat leapt to the floor. "Is NOTHING in this house safe?"
