Drabble Challenge #84

Prompt: storm

We had to go work in our new (old) house that day, even though dark clouds hung low and the wind was blowing; Tropical Storm Faye bore down on the area. Plumbers were coming at eight though, and we had to get that work done in order to get our house livable, so we had no choice.

All day long we watched the sky and wondered…

One plumber was planning to move his mother inland.

My own mother kept calling to give us storm updates—we had no power, so couldn’t check radar ourselves.

Luckily THIS storm passed us by!
