Her crumpled body lies here in front of me, broken and barely able to move. They say that with a few screws, metal plates, and some time, she will be just like she was before the accident. While thinking of all the good times we have had, like the trips to the mountains and the long Sunday afternoon drives, I watch them roll her through those big doors. Now the long wait begins. I think to myself, “Will she ever be the same again?”
