The Greeting

Flashlights pierced the darkness inside the mansion.

“Are you sure we’re in the right place?”

“I’ve checked my notes three times already – and YES, we’re in the right place.”

“It just doesn’t feel like it.”

“We’ve never been here before. How are you supposed to know what it should feel like?”

“I just know, okay?”

“Fine, whatever you say.”

Just then, a burst of warm air blew across their faces.

“Ahh, thank you!”

“Why did you say that? And where’d the breeze come from? These windows are sealed.”

“Didn’t she kiss you as she floated by? NOW it feels right.”
