Drabble Challenge #78
Prompt: picture (special)
It’s just a small box hanging on the dining room wall. You can’t miss it…
…but I surely do miss him.
It has some of his most prized possessions…
…medals and pins for his academic prowess…
…and patches from his last music competition.
And it has some of my most prized possessions as well…
…an image of him from a happier time…
…and a graduation tassel from his closest friends.
I look at it as I pass by and think of what was… what is… what might have been.
A lifetime of wishes and dreams…
…in just a small box.
