Drabble Challenge #2

Prompt: defying gravity

Larry Walters sailed above 15,000 feet, in a helium-powered lawn chair...

...He committed suicide in 1993.

This story has always bothered me.

Some people can lose almost everything, yet they still cling to life. For others, even to seize awesomeness with both hands is not enough.

It must be a different kind of mind.

One great success can launch you to the stars...for a time. Then it wears off: be ready with the next uplifting destination, or come hurtling down to earth.

Dangerous? Yes...but still, it seems a vast improvement over being content to stay on the ground.
