Deneen Ansley's Bio

Deneen Ansley began her writing career as a young girl, living in the richly cultured foothills of the Blueridge Mountains of Northeast Georgia. Against this backdrop, she learned to release her feelings, emotions, experiences and growth to the written page.

Deneen's writings have touched those people around her since her youth, and her talent with the written word has allowed her to escape the drudgery of life - and, sometimes when that small miracle occurs, to take others with her on that journey.

Not only has Deneen written for free for many non-profit publications, she has also written, for free, her opinion to the editor of local papers, lending her voices to persons and causes wherever she felt that she might be a positive force in our world.

She held the editorship of The Great Speckled Bird (the Atlanta, Georgia, Underground, hippie newspaper) for a period of ten years. She has a background in publishing, and has helped create many written entities, often from the ground up, working from conception to finished product, from implementation of design form to ad layout.

In her arsenal of knowledge, Deneen carries that ability to educate - the public at large, as well as in the specialized sub-populations of persons with disabilities, our wonderful senior citizenry, and those of us dealing with grief issues and the end-of the-end-of-life-as-we-know-it.

She currently lives in Greensboro, North Carolina amongst the rich folks who are experiencing, with her, a great awakening of spirit and culture.
