A Public Service Announcement:
People (especially autistic kids!) and other animals have ownership of the space surrounding them, the same way they own the space inside of their body. This extends for at least few feet outward, as it does for at least a few inches inward. Apparently, this is not obvious to many of the planet’s human residents.
You wouldn’t poke a hole into someone’s stomach, uninvited—so don’t poke into the personal space cushion on the other side of the skin.
This includes touching, standing, reaching, fast movements, excessive noise, and your scent.
Thank you for your consideration.
