Life is Good, if One has Watermelons!

The hometown of Bill Clinton and Mike Huckabee, Hope Arkansas is located approximately 25 miles northeast of Texarkana and 120 miles southwest of Little Rock. It was first settled in 1852 and later incorporated in 1875. It is also the county seat of Hempstead County.

'Home to just over 10,000 people, Hope regularly breaks records for growing the largest watermelons in the world! The last record was set by Lloyd Bright in 2005, when he grew a 268.8 pound watermelon. Hope has a “Watermelon Festival” every year during August, and their town's slogan is “A Slice of the Good Life”.'
