Drabble Challenge #21

Prompt: shattered
The blood roars in his ears as he wavers on the ledge.
(Heisenberg holds his breath, as the path of a rider hangs in the balance.)

The choice, the leap, the fall...the rending and splintering as fragile carbon meets cement.
(The skull of a world has shattered...and all of the sanity is leaking out.)

Like a starburst; a sledgehammering; an explosion.
(The atoms rearrange.)

An individual creation ceases; a world dissolves; a returning to Oneness.
(Reality breathes; another drop hits the universal soup; splashes, merges, assimilates.)

Observers search for meaning--
(Perhaps...only that which you give to it.)
