Drabble Challenge #29

Prompt: down the rabbit hole

"Seriously, you can't tell anyone. This is some crazy shit."

"On my mother's grave."

"Okay. I've worked here for years, right? Only...I'm not sure how I got here. I just woke up this way...or, maybe I'm still asleep."

"I'm not following you."

"I live in the Rockies. I drive a yellow Chevy Tracker. I wander around Broomfield half the night. Suddenly, I'm in North Carolina, in a house filled with animals and even my car is different. It's purple, for Chrissakes. I can't complain about the life I just stepped into, but...I'm pretty sure it isn't mine."
