Arm-in-arm they danced before the bonfire, whirling and leaping their way round the circle. Someone suddenly grabbed Linda's free hand and pulled her into an embrace. She was taken by surprise when Monty leaned close and kissed her deeply, but was even more stunned when he then leaned beyond her and planted an equally fervent kiss on Roddy's lips.

The three of them looked at each other in the flickering light.

Monty lifted his arms to enfold them both and pulled them toward him. "Well kids, doncha think it's abou' time we all got togetha?"

Linda looked to Roddy questioningly.
