It's an interesting paradox, isn't it? Money can buy so many things that would lead one down the road to mental mastery and enlightenment: books, travel, mind-enhancing supplements, computers, meditation music, psychology and philosophy seminars, self-improvement gadgets...and the FREE TIME to use them.
We inhabit a world brimming with people--often even intelligent ones--who "have it all"...and, to what end? Reality TV? Drunken parties? Doing harm in exchange for still more money? Fighting over whether "your" team wins or loses? That is the sum of mainstream culture's achievements?
Sometimes I think they have everything but a clue.
