Drabble Challenge #42

Prompt: key

In a hypnagogic, Ganzfield haze, I observed the powerful golden eagle--seeking not prey, but enlightenment.

Grasping a hard-earned key in one talon, she scanned the ether for doors concealing ageless wisdoms. She launched off forcefully in pursuit--only to be jerked harshly back. Turning on the offending restraint with fierce reproach, a profound realisation begins to dawn.

We will NEVER find a door that requires this key. It unlocks not some mythical location, but rather the chains that bind us to our own attachments and limitations. Turn the key on THOSE locks, and we are free to Seek unfettered.
