“It may be your heart,” the doctor states dryly. “We are going to have to run some test before we will know for sure. We will keep you here in the hospital overnight and run a stress test in the morning.” I think to myself, “Do I now have a heart condition along with everything else?” So here I lie in bed, waiting until morning for the test that will give me the answer. “Lord, not my heart... Please God, not my heart,” I whisper as they give me something for pain and finally I fall into a restless sleep.
