Kelp Yourself

"Here, try this," she entreated, handing me a tall glass of something bright green.

"What’s in it?" I asked, holding it to my nose, taking a tentative sniff.

"Lots of things that are good for you! It’s totally organic and also delicious," she assured me, holding her own goblet aloft to make a toast.

"Uh, okay…" I muttered skeptically.

"To health and long life!" she declared. "Free from chemicals, preservatives and all that other poison we don’t need!"

"But what’s IN this miracle beverage?" I queried yet again.

"Oh, just fresh squeezed orange juice and a few herbs… and kelp."
