“Hi Dad. How ya' feelin'?”

“Pretty good honey. Your mom is going to be happy to see you,” Dad says as he looks around for Mom, “She must be in the garden.”

I sit silently as he continues to talk.

“Your mom and I were just talking about how we don't get to see you enough.”

“I'd love to see you more but with my job and new baby...”

“I understand,” Dad interrupts.

“Sorry Dad. I really have to go. Love ya'!”

“We love you too.”

As I leave the nursing home I think how much I really miss mom!
