Pitch Black

“What was that noise?”

"What is that moving over in the corner?”

“Oh my God! It's under the bed. I can feel it moving underneath me.”

“Where is it?”

“I can't see it. Is it still there?”

I curl up deeper underneath the covers, pulling them over my head as if to protect myself from this horrid creature that is tormenting my night. It's pitch black in here and I'm afraid to move. It might decide to attack at any moment!

Suddenly it jumps on the bed!

I scream...

It screeches...

I turn on the light...

It's only my cat.
