A Death in the Family

“Bernie Help!” Elizabeth shouts as she pulls the lifeless body out of the water. “Quick, do something!”

“I don't know what to do.”

“Give him CPR”

“CPR? You have to be kidding! I don't know how to do CPR.”

“Well, you've got to try it!”

“One, Two, Three...” counts Bernie as he recklessly attempts CPR.

The chest compressions and artificial breathing continue for some time. “I don't think this is helping.”

“You have to keep trying!”

“I'm sorry. I know we all loved him but I think it is to late.”

“I guess its time to get a new goldfish.”
